Revit Families
Thanks to our talented specification team, in 2016 MMI entered the BIM (Building Information Modeling) world — becoming the first Latin American manufacturer of construction products to publish Revit families through the BIM Object platform, Autodesk’s only distribution partner for BIM content.
We confidently believe that our families are the most complete hollow metal door families available. In just eight files we deliver an interactive 2D/3D catalog with variable sizes, cuts, hardware preparations, colors, and additional product-specific metadata — providing specifiers with precise information even at the earliest design stages, optimizing design time with real-product models and reducing design revisions downstream.
Below is our current Revit 2020 family library. This release improves the material representation of vision lites, in addition to all the advantages of the previous version:
- Each file includes 10 different door models (with vision-lite and louver options)
- Option to select between masonry or drywall frame
- Door and cut-out sizing, and frame profile dimensions, all constrained to what can be manufactured
- Configuration-dependent output of fire-rating feasibility
- Multiple lock and door-closer options
- Hardware schedule data fields to document each opening’s hardware specification
- 5 pre-loaded stock colors
- MMI Single Door (DRS)
- MMI Pair of Doors (DRP)
- MMI Single Door with Single-Rabbet Frame (SRS)
- MMI Pair of Doors with Single-Rabbet Frame (SRP)
- MMI Double-Acting Single Door (COS)
- MMI Double-Acting Pair of Doors (COP)
- MMI Communicating-Frame Single Door (CMS)
- MMI Double-Egress Pair of Doors (DEP)
